Goya : The Sleep of Reason Produces MonstersThe Art Collection

Pope Urban preaching the first CrusadeThe etching of Pope Urban on the Religious Bigotry page comes from the original 1841 edition of Extraordinary Popular Delusions & the Madness of Crowds by Charles Mackay. This wonderful book, which is still in print, shows that there is nothing new about the sorts of idiocy featured all over The Millenium Project site.
Many of the illustrations of herbs and plants are from A Modern Herbal, first published in 1931, by Mrs. M. Grieve. The entire book can be found at Botanical.com.Henbane
PancreasIllustrations of the internal workings of the human body are from Anatomy of the Human Body by Henry Gray. Not much has changed since 1918. This book is online here.
